The Ondo State Police Command has confirmedub the death of Mr. Nimrod Anaka, Divisional Police Officer in charge of Kajola Police Station, Odigbo Local Government Area.
Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ayanlade Olushola, disclosed the development to the News Agency of Nigeria on Wednesday, saying the cause of death would be determined by medical experts.
“I can confirm that the DPO has died, but it’s only a medical expert that can confirm what caused his death.
His age and state of origin will be made public later,” Olushola said.
Anaka was reported to have developed a sudden illness on Tuesday and died while being taken to hospital for treatment.
The incident has thrown the Kajola Police Station into mourning, with colleagues describing the loss as a shock. His remains have been deposited in a mortuary.
