Boy murdered for refusing kidnappers’ demand to assault sister

A young boy has been killed by suspected kidnappers in Anambra State after allegedly refusing their demand to sexually assault his sister.

Human rights activist Harrison Gwamnishu, who revealed the incident in a social media post, said the boy was abducted alongside his two sisters by armed men.

The kidnappers, he claimed, subjected the children to severe abuse after their family failed to meet a ransom demand.

According to Gwamnishu, the abductors ordered the boy to violate one of his sisters, and when he resisted, they murdered him in retaliation.

“This is more than a crime; it is a wake-up call. No child, no woman, no citizen should live under the shadow of such terror,” Gwamnishu wrote, urging government and security agencies to dismantle kidnapping syndicates, intensify patrols, and ensure justice for victims.

When contacted, Anambra State Police Command spokesperson, SP Tochukwu Ikenga, said there was no official report of the incident before him. “I will make enquiries and get back to you. Send me the video if you have it,” he stated in a text message.

Police say investigations are ongoing, with efforts underway to track down other fleeing suspects and bring them to justice.
