The Ondo State Government has commiserated with the management and staff of Fresh FM Ibadan following the fire outbreak that gutted the station’s studios on Friday.
In a condolence message signed by the Commissioner for Information and Orientation, Hon. Idowu Ajanaku, the government expressed sadness over the incident, describing it as a painful setback not only to the station but also to the media industry in the South West.
Ajanaku noted that although the fire destroyed vital broadcast equipment and facilities, the government was grateful that no life was lost.
He praised Fresh FM for being a dependable source of information and entertainment to millions of listeners, adding that the station would bounce back stronger.
He urged media stakeholders and members of the public to stand in solidarity with Fresh FM during what he called a trying period, assuring the station of Ondo State’s support.
