Popular broadcaster and founder of Agidigbo FM, Oriyomi Hamzat, has lifted the ban placed on songs from Marlian Records, tendering a public apology to its frontline artiste, Naira Marley.
Hamzat had, in September 2024, prohibited the station from playing tracks by the record label following widespread controversy surrounding the death of former Marlian signee, Mohbad.
At the time, public suspicion linked Marley to the incident, though no evidence was established.
Speaking in Ibadan, Hamzat admitted that his decision was influenced by the allegations and expressed regret for holding on to the belief.
He confirmed that Agidigbo FM would now resume airplay of Naira Marley’s songs and those of his label.
“With the truth clarified, it is only fair to correct past actions,” Hamzat said while announcing the station’s new policy.
