A female member of the National Youth Service Corps (NYSC), Jennifer Edema Elohor, has been assaulted and stripped naked by suspected operatives of the Agunechemba Vigilante Group, also known as Operation Udo Ga-Achi, in Anambra State.
A viral video shared on Facebook by the Haven 360 Foundation on Monday captured armed vigilantes storming a corps members’ lodge and attacking Elohor and some of her colleagues.
Despite presenting their NYSC identification cards, the victims were accused of engaging in internet fraud.
The foundation, which condemned the attack, said the corps members were brutalised, humiliated, and subjected to sexually degrading threats. “The assault was particularly egregious in the case of Jennifer Edema Elohor, who was beaten, stripped naked, and left exposed and covered in blood,” it stated.
The incident, which reportedly occurred on July 23, 2025, has sparked outrage, with calls for authorities to investigate and bring the perpetrators to justice.
