The Lagos State Police Command has launched an investigation into the gruesome killing of interior designer, Deborah Moses, popularly known as Deb’rah Porsche, who was allegedly murdered by her ex-boyfriend on Wednesday night.

The suspect, identified as Lintex, a native of Otukpo in Benue State, reportedly disguised as a dispatch rider to gain entry into Deborah’s estate.

When security officials grew suspicious, he allegedly scaled the fence, broke into her apartment, and stabbed her multiple times.

Investigators revealed that the suspect first tried to trigger an explosion by cutting the cooking gas pipe outside her residence but resorted to direct attack when the plan failed.

Family members disclosed that Deborah ended the relationship over a year ago but had continued to receive threats from the suspect. “He kept saying, ‘If I don’t have you, nobody will. If I don’t marry you, blood will flow,’” a relative recounted.

Deborah, who had just completed her National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) programme, was said to be focusing on her career before the tragedy. “She was only trying to find her feet when this happened,” her grieving sister said.

Neighbors restrained the suspect after the incident and handed him over to the police.

Rights activists and the victim’s family have demanded a thorough investigation, stressing that the case must not be allowed to fade without justice.
