A young man identified only as IK has reportedly taken his own life in the Kagini area of Abuja.
The incident, which occurred on Friday, came to public attention after a video surfaced on the verified Facebook page of Lere Olayinka, Senior Special Assistant on Public Communication and Social Media to the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Minister, Nyesom Wike.
In the footage, believed to have been recorded by friends or neighbours, residents were heard expressing shock and questioning why the deceased chose to end his life by hanging.
Authorities have yet to release an official statement on the case.
