The Enugu State Police Command has arrested a suspected member of the proscribed Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its armed affiliate, the Eastern Security Network (ESN).
The development disclosed was on Monday by a counter-insurgency expert and security analyst, Zagazola Makama, via his X handle.
The suspect, identified as 32-year-old Onoh Chidera, was picked up on Saturday at a black spot in 9th Mile Corner, Ngwo, following what police sources described as credible intelligence.
“The suspect is among those fingered in the attack on Ezeagu Police Station earlier in the year, during which arms and ammunition were carted away,” said one of the sources.
The sources further disclosed that discreet investigation had already begun to trace his network and apprehend other collaborators.
