The remains of Inspector Oluwatosin Sunday, an officer of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) killed in active service, have been laid to rest in his hometown, Isua-Akoko, Ondo State.

Sunday lost his life during an operation at Okpella, Edo State.

At the burial held on Tuesday, the Ondo State Commandant of the NSCDC, Oluyemi Ibiloye, conveyed the condolences of the Commandant General, Prof. Ahmed Abubakar Audi, to the grieving family.

He assured that those responsible for the officer’s death would not escape justice.

“For fighting and paying the supreme price at Okpella, your memories shall be honoured by us living ours with purpose, pride, and gratitude. Adiu IC Oluwatosin Sunday,” Ibiloye said on behalf of the Commandant General.

Colleagues described the late officer as fearless and dedicated to duty.

Family members, friends, and senior officers of the NSCDC attended the burial.
