The Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), Ondo State Command, has decorated 27 newly promoted officers and 131 marshals with fresh ranks, charging them to rededicate themselves to safer motoring across the state.
The State Sector Commander, Dr. Samuel Ibitoye, led the decoration ceremony in Akure, where he reminded the personnel that promotion comes with greater responsibility.
“Today, 158 newly promoted staff in Ondo Command—27 officers and 131 marshals—have been decorated.
Your elevation demands that you double your efforts, work harder than before, and live up to expectations,” he said.
Ibitoye stressed that the FRSC’s mandate was to reduce road crashes and ensure safety nationwide.
He urged the newly decorated officers to intensify advocacy and public enlightenment so that Nigerians derive value from the agency’s work.
He also encouraged personnel who did not make the promotion list not to relent, stressing that road safety remained a collective responsibility.
Responding on behalf of the promotees, Mr. Ololade Baale, who was elevated from Chief Route Commander to Assistant Corps Commander, thanked the Corps Marshal for the recognition.
He pledged that the officers would remain committed to the vision and mission of the FRSC.
“We dedicate this promotion to the ideals of the corps, and we will be more loyal and committed to the cause of safer roads for all Nigerians,” Baale assured.
