The Jigawa State Police Command has arrested four suspects linked to cattle rustling and car theft in Hadejia Local Government Area.

Police spokesperson SP Shi’isu Adam, in a statement issued Sunday in Dutse, said operatives attached to the Hadejia Area Command, working with local vigilante group Yanbulala, arrested 47-year-old Isah Muhammad of Kirakasamma LGA on September 18 after he was found in possession of two suspected stolen bulls.

The animals were recovered, and investigations are ongoing to trace his accomplices.

In a related operation on September 17, police apprehended three men, Amadu Dan Zaria, 45; Salisu Ya’u, 25; and Musa Muhammad, 30, for allegedly stealing a Daihatsu vehicle in Hadejia.

The car was recovered intact, while the suspects remain in custody pending prosecution.

SP Adam said the Commissioner of Police has ordered intensified patrols, raids, and surveillance to curb crime across the state. He also urged residents to remain law-abiding and share credible information with security agencies to aid crime prevention.
