The National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) has fixed Wednesday, September 24, 2025, as the commencement date for the 2025 Batch ‘B’ Stream II Orientation Course across all camps nationwide.
In a statement released via its official Facebook page on Monday, the scheme disclosed that registration will run until Friday, September 26, while the swearing-in ceremony will hold the same day.
The three-week exercise is expected to conclude with a passing-out parade on Tuesday, October 14.
However, the NYSC clarified that the Kwara State orientation camp will operate on a different schedule, opening on September 30 and closing on October 20.
The Director-General, Brigadier-General Olakunle Nafiu, urged all Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) to report to their designated camps with the required documents, including original call-up letters, academic certificates, and medical fitness reports.
Foreign-trained graduates are to present their international passports alongside original copies of uploaded credentials.
He warned against the presentation of forged documents, stressing that violators would be handed over to security agencies for prosecution.
Graduates of polytechnics and monotechnics were specifically reminded to provide their National Diploma certificates.
On safety, the NYSC strongly cautioned PCMs against embarking on night journeys. “Once it is 6:00pm, prospective corps members are enjoined to break their journeys and spend the night at military or police barracks, NYSC secretariats or corps lodges nearest to their disembarkation point,” the statement advised.
The DG further encouraged corps members to travel only from government-approved motor parks and to avoid illegal participation in the scheme, warning that defaulters would be prosecuted under the NYSC Act.
He added that married, pregnant, and nursing mothers posted outside their states of residence may be allowed to serve in their husbands’ states if they present proof of marriage and residence.
Wishing the new intakes a successful service year, Nafiu said, “We wish all prospective corps members safe travels to their various camps and a rewarding national service experience.”
