The discovery of the body of an unidentified mentally challenged man on Monday threw residents of Ore in Odigbo Local Government Area of Ondo State into confusion.
The deceased, clad in worn-out clothes, was found lifeless around the Sabo axis of the town.
The circumstances leading to his death are still unclear.
Residents, who expressed concern over the development, urged environmental health officials to remove the corpse without delay to avert health hazards.
A resident said the continued presence of the body in the area posed risks to public hygiene.
At the time of filing this report, the remains of the man were still at the scene.
