The Oyo State political community has been thrown into mourning following the death of the son of Hon. Bamidele Adeola, a member of the State House of Assembly representing Iseyin/Itesiwaju Constituency.
The deceased, a 200-level student of Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo, reportedly passed away on Friday after a brief illness.
His death has left the Adeola family, friends, and members of the university community in deep sorrow.
Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Adebo Ogundoyin, on Saturday led a delegation of lawmakers to Adeola’s residence to commiserate with the bereaved family.
Describing the incident as heartbreaking, Ogundoyin said the loss was not only a personal tragedy for Hon. Adeola but also a painful blow to the entire Assembly.
He assured the family of the prayers and unwavering support of his colleagues during the period of grief.
In an emotional response, Hon. Adeola thanked the Speaker, fellow lawmakers, and members of the public for their solidarity and compassion.
He said the outpouring of love had brought some comfort amid the family’s pain.
