Bauchi State Governor, Senator Bala Mohammed, has appealed for forgiveness from anyone he may have offended during his years in public service and leadership.
In a heartfelt message posted on his official Facebook page on Monday to commemorate his 67th birthday, the governor expressed profound gratitude to Almighty Allah for His mercy, guidance, and sustenance throughout his political and leadership journey.
“As I mark my 67th birthday, I am filled with deep gratitude to Almighty Allah for His mercy and guidance throughout my years in leadership and public service,” Mohammed wrote.
He noted that the day was not one for elaborate celebrations but for quiet reflection and thanksgiving for the opportunity to serve the people of Bauchi State.
“This occasion is not one of grand festivities, but of sober reflection and appreciation for the grace to lead our people,” he stated.
The governor went on to seek forgiveness from individuals he may have wronged, knowingly or unknowingly, pledging to continue leading with fairness, equity, and a deep sense of responsibility.
“I humbly seek forgiveness from anyone I may have wronged, knowingly or unknowingly, and I reaffirm my commitment to continue leading with fairness, equity, and compassion,” he said.
Mohammed also expressed appreciation for the outpouring of goodwill messages, prayers, and tributes from family, friends, political associates, and the people of Bauchi State.
“Looking ahead, my resolve remains firm—to leave Bauchi better than I met it.
With God’s help, we will continue to expand access to education, healthcare, and infrastructure,” he added.
He reaffirmed his administration’s determination to build on its achievements and urged citizens to embrace unity, optimism, and collective effort in moving Bauchi State forward.
