The accident, which occurred around 9:00 a.m., involved an unregistered payloader, a Toyota Camry with registration number AAB 248 MK, and a commercial tricycle marked JGB 643 VD.
According to eyewitnesses, the heavy-duty vehicle lost control, veered off its lane, and crashed into the tricycle and the car.

He explained that the payloader operator suffered minor bruises, while the driver of the Toyota Camry sustained serious injuries.
“Based on eyewitness accounts, the payloader lost control and swerved from the outbound Sabo lane into the inbound Sabo lane, ramming into both the tricycle and the Camry.
The crash led to the death of the pregnant woman and caused severe injuries to the other occupants,” he added.
The TRACE spokesperson said the woman’s body had been deposited in a morgue, while the injured victims were rushed by bystanders to different hospitals in Sagamu for treatment.
