The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State has dismissed reports of a rift between Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa and the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo, describing them as baseless and the handiwork of political mischief-makers.

In a statement issued on Sunday, the party’s Director of Media and Publicity, Steve Otaloro, said both leaders maintain a cordial working relationship and remain united in their commitment to the progress of Ondo State and the success of President Bola Tinubu’s administration.

Otaloro noted that Governor Aiyedatiwa, as leader of the party in the state, is focused on governance and the re-election of President Tinubu in 2027, while Minister Tunji-Ojo continues to perform creditably at the federal level in line with the President’s Renewed Hope Agenda.

He dismissed reports of any reconciliation moves by the party’s national leadership, stressing that there was no conflict to resolve.

“The rumours being circulated are the handiwork of those intent on sowing discord within the party, especially ahead of the 2027 elections,” he said. “Their agenda is to fracture the united front of the APC in Ondo State, but they will not succeed.”

The APC called on the public to ignore what it termed false narratives, assuring that the party remains united and committed to supporting President Tinubu’s administration.
