Two men, Ogunmola Damilola, 32, and Durodola Samuel, 22, have been arraigned before a Chief Magistrate Court sitting in Ado-Ekiti for allegedly stealing a pumping machine valued at ₦120,000.
The police prosecutor, Inspector Akinwale Oriyomi, told the court that the defendants committed the offence on September 9 at about 2 p.m. in Ayetoro-Ekiti, within the Ido-Ekiti Magisterial District.
Oriyomi said the stolen pumping machine belonged to one Dada Ojo, adding that the offence contravened Sections 421 and 302(a) of the Criminal Law of Ekiti State, 2021.
Counsel to the defendants, Barrister Adegolaju Ayobioloja, appealed to the court to grant his clients bail.
In his ruling, Chief Magistrate Abayomi Adeosun granted bail to each of the defendants in the sum of ₦100,000, with one surety in like sum.
The case was adjourned until November 10 for hearing.
