A Rivers State High Court sitting in Port Harcourt has fixed January 19, 2026, for judgment in the murder case involving four persons accused in connection with the killing of a pharmacist, Muenalo Sunday, in Zaakpo Community, Khana Local Government Area of the state.

The trial judge, Justice Kingsley-Chukwu, adjourned the matter for judgment on Wednesday after counsel to both the prosecution and the defence argued and adopted their final written addresses.

The defendants—Confidence Kirinee, also known as General Illa, Precious Mona, Loveday Legah and Soniabari Sagha are standing trial alongside other suspects said to be at large on charges bordering on alleged kidnapping and murder.

The prosecution alleged that the accused persons kidnapped the victim on March 5, 2019, and subsequently killed him, disposing of his remains in a pit, while his head was allegedly taken to a shrine in a bush in a neighbouring community.

The court is expected to deliver its verdict on the scheduled date after reviewing the evidence and submissions of both parties
