The Parliamentary Secretary of the Ondo State House of Assembly and member representing Ondo West Constituency 1, Otunba Moyinolorun Ogunwumiju, has described the 2025
Ekimogun Day celebration as a fitting showcase of the rich cultural heritage, unity and enduring identity of the Ondo Kingdom.
Ogunwumiju spoke at the colourful event held at the Oba Adesanoye Civic Centre, Ondo, where sons and daughters of the kingdom converged to celebrate their age-long traditions.
The celebration drew a wide spectrum of participants, including traditional rulers, religious and political leaders, market men and women, youths and students from across the kingdom.
He noted that the festival once again underscored the cultural depth and communal spirit of the Ondo people, adding that it was always a privilege for him, as a representative of the people and a native of the kingdom, to identify with and promote Ondo’s heritage at every opportunity.
The lawmaker congratulated the Osemawe and Paramount Ruler of Ondo Kingdom, His Imperial Majesty, Oba (Dr.) Victor Adesimbo Kiladejo, CFR, Jilo III, on the successful hosting of Ekimogun Day 2025, commending the monarch’s leadership for fostering peace, unity and cultural pride within the kingdom.
He also praised the chairman of the 2025 celebration, Dr. Jibayo Adeyeye, for his dedication and commitment to the success of the event, describing his efforts as instrumental to the smooth and colourful outing.

Ogunwumiju offered prayers for sustained good health and unity among the people, expressing confidence that Ondo Kingdom would continue on a path of growth, prosperity and collective progress.
