Toronto — Canadian authorities have declared a Nigerian man wanted for allegedly assaulting vulnerable residents at a Toronto group home.

Oghenemaro Dave Ejerua, 38, was placed on the police wanted list after officers responded to reports of an assault in the Sibley and Detonia Park area.

According to a statement released by the Toronto Police Service on December 31, 2025, Ejerua was employed as a caregiver at the facility where the alleged incidents occurred.

“The Toronto Police Service is seeking the public’s help in locating a man wanted in connection with an assault investigation,” the statement read.

Police said Ejerua allegedly committed multiple assaults on residents of the home between November 1 and November 30, 2025, and is now wanted on seven counts of assault.

However, authorities did not disclose the number of victims or the extent of the injuries sustained.
Described as 5’8” with a medium build, black curly hair, and facial hair, Ejerua remains at large.

The police have urged anyone with information to come forward by calling 416-808-5500 or reporting anonymously to Crime Stoppers at 416-222-TIPS (8477) or via www.222tips.com.
