The Oyo State Police Command has confirmed the arrest of four suspects allegedly linked to kidnapping, murder and violent clashes across the state.

Police Public Relations Officer, SP Olayinka Ayanlade, announced the breakthrough in a statement issued in Ibadan on Tuesday.

According to Ayanlade, officers rescued a kidnap victim, identified as Hussinat Abubakar, during a sting operation that led to the arrest of three members of the gang believed to be behind her abduction.

“The suspects have
confessed to their involvement in the crime.

Efforts are ongoing to track down other fleeing members of the syndicate,” the police spokesperson said.

He noted that the rescued victim is currently receiving medical care and support, adding that the arrested suspects would be arraigned once investigations are concluded.

In a separate incident, Ayanlade disclosed that operatives apprehended one Olatunji David Segun in connection with a violent confrontation at the Michael Koleoso Polytechnic in Saki.

He said detectives had commenced additional inquiries to unravel the motive and circumstances surrounding the clash.
