Suspected bandits have abducted four members of a household after invading the residence of a retired police superintendent in Kujama, Kajuru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

The armed men were said to have struck at about 12:30am on Friday, targeting the home of 60-year-old Mr. Elisha Markus, a former Divisional Police Officer who once served in Lafia, Nasarawa State, a security contact told Zagazola Makama.

The source revealed that the attackers whisked away four occupants of the residence — identified as 26-year-old Alice Jeshua, six-year-old David Jeshua, 15-year-old Josephine Luka and 29-year-old Samaria Mika — and fled into the night.

Security agencies were reportedly deployed to the community shortly after the assault, with the surrounding bushes sealed off in a bid to block escape routes and track the abductors.

“Intensified operations are underway in partnership with community actors to rescue the victims and bring the perpetrators to justice,” the source
