JUST IN: NECO releases 2025 SSCE results, records 72% credit pass in English, Mathematics

The National Examinations Council has announced the release of the 2025 Senior School Certificate Examination results, recording a 72 per cent credit pass rate in English Language and Mathematics.

The Registrar of NECO, Prof. Ibrahim Wushishi, disclosed this on Tuesday in Minna, Niger State, while briefing journalists on the outcome of the examination.

According to him, candidates were examined in 16 subjects during the exercise.

Wushishi stated that a total of 96,979 candidates registered for the examination nationwide, comprising 51,823 males, representing 53.43 per cent, and 45,156 females, accounting for 46.56 per cent.

He added that the council would release further details on the performance statistics and other examination-related issues in due course.
