Former Vice President and Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, on Friday paid a solidarity visit to former Kaduna State Governor and African Democratic Congress (ADC) stalwart, Nasir El-Rufai, following a failed attempt to detain him at the airport.
Sharing the visit on his Facebook page, Atiku said El-Rufai remained calm and undeterred by the incident, reaffirming his commitment to his vision for Nigeria’s progress.
“Last night, I visited Mallam Nasir El-Rufai after the unsuccessful attempt to arrest him at the airport upon his arrival in the country.
He remains unshaken and dedicated to the battle to enthrone a better Nigeria,” Atiku wrote.
The former vice president’s visit signals solidarity amid rising political tensions, highlighting ongoing disputes surrounding prominent political figures in the country.
