The Senior Special Assistant to the Ondo State Governor on Inter-Party Affairs, Hon. Fadeshola Ojamomi, has commended Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa’s administration, saying the government’s first year in office has delivered measurable progress across critical sectors of the state.
Ojamomi, in a statement issued on Saturday to mark the administration’s one-year anniversary, said the government had translated its development agenda into tangible results, particularly in infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, and security.
He noted that under the administration’s OUR EASE agenda, infrastructure development had been prioritised through the rehabilitation, reconstruction, and commissioning of roads across urban and rural communities, aimed at improving connectivity, boosting commerce, and enhancing access to essential services.
Highlighting achievements in the health sector, the governor’s aide said the administration expanded the state contributory health insurance scheme, completed a pharmaceutical warehouse to improve medicine availability, renovated health facilities, and commissioned the 100,000-litre Omi Irorun O’Datiwa Water Supply Project at the Federal University of Technology Akure Teaching Hospital. According to him, more than 100 primary healthcare centres are also undergoing upgrades to strengthen maternal and child healthcare services.
Ojamomi further stated that the education sector had received renewed attention through the recruitment of over 2,000 teachers, payment of examination fees for students, and sustained learning support programmes designed to ease financial pressure on families while improving academic standards.
He added that the government had taken deliberate steps to strengthen agriculture and rural development through strategic land acquisition and increased budgetary allocation aimed at improving food security, creating jobs, and expanding economic opportunities for farmers across the state.
On security, he said the administration had enhanced operational support for security agencies and strengthened the Amotekun Corps through improved logistics and digital integration, noting that over 500 newly trained personnel were recently deployed to reinforce safety across communities.
The governor’s aide also credited the administration with promoting political stability through dialogue, inclusiveness, and institutional engagement, which he said had helped maintain a peaceful political atmosphere in the state over the past year.
According to him, the administration’s governance style has been defined by fiscal discipline, inclusive leadership, and youth participation in decision-making, adding that the government remains committed to deepening reforms and ensuring sustainable development across Ondo State.
