A Nigerian businessman and social media personality, Isaac Fayose, has predicted that President Bola Tinubu will struggle to secure up to 20 per cent of votes in the South-East during the 2027 general elections.

Fayose made the claim in a post shared on his Facebook page while reacting to the recent activities of the City Boys Movement in Imo State.

The group, a campaign organisation reportedly initiated by Seyi Tinubu, had visited the state earlier in the week as part of efforts to rally support for the President ahead of the next election cycle.

However, the outing drew criticism on social media, with some observers alleging that the event recorded a low turnout despite the attendance of notable personalities, including popular socialite and businessman Cubana Chief Priest.

Reacting to the development, Fayose said he was willing to stake N10m on his prediction, insisting that the President would not secure up to 20 per cent of the total votes in the South-East unless the election was manipulated.

According to him, the gathering in Owerri was poorly attended, claiming that security personnel at the venue outnumbered supporters.

He wrote, “The City Boys Movement outing in Owerri, Imo State, yesterday was a show of shame. The number of security operatives there was more than the crowd.

“I am ready to bet any of them with N10m. President Tinubu will not get 20 per cent of the total votes cast in 2027.”
