The Ogotun-Oge Youth Development Forum has concluded plans to celebrate its first anniversary on April 5, 2026, with the launch of a humanitarian platform, Charity Begins at Home Foundation.
The group said the anniversary would mark a significant milestone in its contributions to community development within Ogotun-Oge and the wider Oge Kingdom.
Over the past year, the forum has been actively involved in various community and grassroots engagements aimed at promoting youth participation, fostering unity, and improving the welfare of residents.
Members of the association noted that their interventions have focused on developmental initiatives designed to create a more enabling environment for both youths and other members of the community.
The forum added that its efforts had been widely recognised as a step towards strengthening cohesion and advancing progress in the area.
As part of activities lined up for the celebration, the group will formally unveil the Charity Begins at Home Foundation, which is expected to broaden its humanitarian outreach and provide support for vulnerable persons.
Speaking on the initiative, the Chairman of the association said the foundation underscores the group’s commitment to sustainable development and grassroots impact.
He explained that the platform would prioritise education support, welfare programmes, and community-driven projects targeted at improving the lives of both youths and the elderly.
The anniversary celebration will also feature visits to community elders, during which essential materials will be distributed.
The leadership of the forum reaffirmed its commitment to working closely with community stakeholders to drive meaningful and inclusive development across the kingdom.
