Adefisoye Grades Idanre-Ofosu Federal Road To Ease Difficulty of Constituents
Federal lawmaker representing Idanre/Ifedore federal constituency has stepped up efforts on the grading of Idanre-Ofosu federal road to ease the transportation difficulty faced by his rural constituents.
The award winner of 2020 Most Influential Reps Member in Ondo State has scaled up grading of the federal road from Idanre town to omifunfun -Benin axis in Edo State.
Adefisoye has continued to stress the importance of Omifunfun – Benin road because of its strategic linkage between Ondo State and Benin, the capital of Edo state. The hitherto abandoned and impassable road stretch also houses more than 100 farming camps that are populated by Idanre people.
Speaking on what necessitated road grading, Adefisoye said
he could never have turned blind eyes to the deplorable state of the road stretch because of its economic importance to Ondo State. He also added that the need to facilitate easy transportation of farm produces of his constituents, especially cocoa was another reason for shouldering the responsibility of grading the almost 22km federal road.
“We truly don’t have enough resources at our disposal to readily embark on asphalt overlay of this strategic federal road. However, we will continue to do the best within the limit of our personal resources until this road is receives the deserved attention from the federal government”, said Adefisoye .
Meanwhile, inhabitants of the graded stretch of the federal road have expressed their immense appreciation to Adefisoye for his thoughtful intervention in the hitherto impassable road.
“We are immensely appreciative of the thoughtful intervention of Adefisoye in our road. He has brought us a lot of relief by making it possible for us to easily transport our farm produces to the targeted consumers. It is our collective prayers that God shall continue to guide and protect him”.
