The Ondo State House of Assembly on Wednesday gave a nod to Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu to appoint 13 Special Advisers.
Governor Akeredolu had dissolved the State Executive Council ahead of the end of his first term in office.
The approval for the appointment the 13 Special Advisers was contained in a letter of request sent to the Assembly by Governor Akeredolu’s Chief of Staff, Chief Olugbenga Ale.
Speaker of the Assembly, Bamidele Oleyeloogun, said the request was in line with the constitutional rights of the governor.
Speaker Oleyeloogun stated that it would accelerate the machinery of government as well as prompt delivery of democracy dividends to the people.
