Nigerian Troops Kills Scores of Boko Haram In Yobe
Nigerian Army troops of Operation Tura Takaibango have killed 20 Boko Haram fighters in Geidam Local Government Area of Yobe State on Friday, April 23, 2021. Also, scores of the insurgents have escaped with fatal gunshot injuries.
The troops also captured from the terror elements items that include
eight AK 47 rifles, one AA gun and one gun truck. Moreso, two gun trucks belonging to the insurgents were destroyed by fighter jets of the troops.
Meanwhile, it has been gathered that ground and air troops of Operation Tura Takaibango are still engaging the insurgents that have mobilized in large number to Geidam town on Friday. The fresh fight as reported, was because of the heavy casualties inflicted on the insurgents by the troops on Thursday.
Moreso, number of casualties on the part of Boko Haram remains uncertain as troops are still engaging the insurgents in Geidam Local Government.
