Tragedy struck again this morning when a now-viral video emerged online showing the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) parish at Alapere, Lagos, in flames.
According to the video, the church was seen gutted with fire, with parishioners seemingly trapped inside the cathedral whilst several cars parked outside the church premises also burned in the inferno.
The cause of the fire accident and the number of casualties has not been ascertained as of the time of filing this report. However, one of the church members revealed on her Twitter page (@QDobken) that no life was lost in the fire incident
A witness who spoke anonymously to the correspondent of yemiefash news stated that the fire incident started in the morning.
“Not that it just happened now, the fire started in the morning and has since been put out,”
When contacted, the Lagos State Emergency Management Authority (LASEMA) spokesperson; Nosa Okunbor, however, said he was yet to confirm the incident.
“I’m awaiting confirmation, I will give a statement once I confirm,” he said.
This unfortunate fire incident is coming just days after the death of Pst Dare Adeboye; the son of the general overseer of the church; Pst Adejare Adeboye.
