EFCC nabs 11 over alleged cyber fraud
Operatives of the Lagos Zonal Office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, Cybercrime Section, have arrested 11 suspected Internet fraudsters in Lagos.
A spokesperson for the commission, Wilson Uwujaren, said the suspects were arrested on Monday in the Alagbado area of Lagos State following credible intelligence received by the commission about their involvement in a computer-related fraud.
The suspects are Nwomkiro Jude, Olukoya Timilehin, Akingbade Ayoboye, Adeolu Oluwajifemi, Nwankwo Michael, Kehinde Ajibola, Adesina Deji, Olalekan Abiola, Anthony Iwuji, Emeka Metuh and Oluwasegun Pelumi.
Upon their arrest, items such as mobile devices, laptops and exotic cars were recovered from them.
“The suspects will be charged to court as soon as investigations are conducted,” Uwujaren stated.
