Dr. Tola Emmanuel Awosika has dismissed a report on his withdrawal from the 2023 Ondo Central Senatorial Race.

In a press statement issued on the Friday 27th of May, 2023 in Akure by his media aide, Mr. Ayokunlemi Ambrose, the Senatorial Aspirant who is seeking to represent Ondo Central Senatorial District at the Red Chamber come 2023 encouraged his supporters not to panic and entertain fear, saying he has been working tirelessly day and night to emerge the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senatorial candidate at this week Senatorial primary election in the State.

He described as mischief the report that he has withdrawn and stepped out of the race

Awosika added that those who planted the report were jittery about his political popularity, acceptance and dominance in political space, hence they cooked the fake report to create confusion among his followers and supporters in the party.

Part of the Statement reads, “The withdrawal reports are mere handiwork of politicians who are intimidated by the popularity of the aspirant and his massive gains in the last few weeks.

“The ambition to become the Senatorial Candidate of the APC is alive and the people should be rest assured that he is in the race to win and not just to answer aspirant.”

All supporters of Awosika should not entertain fear, let’s not be bothered about mere hearsay, they are just rumours to cause distractions and make us lose focus at this 11th hour, we remain resolute to this purpose driven course of Awosika, as he is working tirelessly to emerge as the candidate of the APC.” and by the special grace of God we will bring the trophy home tomorrow because victory is ours .
