UPHOLDING THE TENETS OF DEMOCRACY IS OUR COLLECTIVE RESPONSIBILITY – BOROKINI

The Incumbent House of Assembly Member Representing Akure South Constituency 1, Hon Simeon Toluwani Borokini has felicitated Nigerians on the commemoration of yet another Democracy day in the history of the country.

He noted that the freedom fight by Chief MKO Abiola which birthed the recognition of June 12 as democracy day in Nigeria must not be forgotten in a hurry even as another election year draws near and that is enough reason for Nigerians to eschew violence, other uncivil acts that may hinder a free, fair and credible poll in the country.

In the spirit of democracy day celebration, the Lawmaker urged citizens of Ondo state and other concerned Nigerians to continually keep Nigerian in their prayers even as the government in its combined efforts keep making daily moves to flush out miscreants who have become unrelentless in their efforts to take this freedom we enjoy as a country away from us. As today coincidentally makes the novel attack on Owo community a week old, Hon Borokini again sympathizes with those bereaved and pray quick healing for casualties who are still on their recovery journeys.

Happy Democracy Day Celebration!

God Heal our Land.
