Burna Boy asked his bodyguard to open fire on us; showed no remorse: Married Woman

The woman whose husband and a family friend was shot by Burna Boy’s bodyguard has alleged that the singer ordered his hired gun to open fire on her spouse and friends on the night of June 8.

In a series of Instagram posts posted Sunday night, the woman identified as Stephanie N on the photo-sharing app, also accused Burna Boy of being unremorseful.

“As they were fighting, Burna Boy’s friends started shooting after what looked like a signal from Burna boy,” she said. “One of our friends @theflowolf was trying to get Burna boy to calm the situation down, but he only laughed at him and proceeded to get in his car whilst being protected by his security.”

It was reported how the self-proclaimed ‘African Giant’ made a pass at the married woman while with her husband, Lawrence Irebami, at Cubana nightclub in Lagos.

Detailing how a bullet grazed her husband’s head while a friend was shot in the thigh, she said the club was thrown into chaos as fun-seekers screamed and ran for safety.

According to the woman, who was visiting Nigeria from London, with her husband and friends, a man approached her on Burna Boy’s behalf but was turned down three times.

“He came the third time, and that caused a few of our friends to flare up as they asked why he kept coming to disturb me,” the woman added. “There were words back and forth, and one of Burna Boy’s friends attacked one of our friends, and as they attacked him, the situation degenerated into a fight.”

She added, “They were out to kill and didn’t care who got hit. My partner’s head was bleeding profusely, and his friend lost so much blood he needed a donor as soon as he got to the hospital. @burnaboygram left @cubanalagos without a scratch and flew out to Spain the next morning.”

The traumatised woman further disclosed that Burna Boy’s intermediary still approached her after escaping from the club’s melee.

“Oh, you’re the one that was doing shakara Abi,” she quoted Burna Boy’s friend. She also alleged that he had reached out to his pocket to grab what seemed like a gun and soon ran away after she was dragged away by her friends.

A police report seen by Peoples Gazette said Burna Boy was “heavily drugged” and behaved “violently and irresponsibly” when he caused a commotion that left at least two persons shot at the nightclub.

“Nigerian Social media can say BURNA BOY started Boko haram, e no go shock me,” the artiste had tweeted.

Meanwhile, Omah Lay hinted that he would remove Burna Boy from his debut album, ‘Boy Alone’, following the shooting incident.
