Oodua Youth Coalition Urge Nigerians To Shun Violence.

~ Express their displeasure through the ballot.

The Oodua Youth Coalition, a sociocultural youth organization in the southwestern region of Nigeria, is calling on all Nigerians to exercise their right to vote in the upcoming general election peacefully without consideration for violent exhibition.

As the election approaches, it’s evident that some of the policies of the government have heightened tensions amongst the Nigerian populace and the risk of violence is ever-present. The Oodua Youth Coalition recognizes the importance of this election for the future of Nigeria and encourages all citizens to participate by casting their vote for the candidates of their choice.

We urge everyone to embrace a peaceful and nonviolent approach to the electoral process, as violence only serves to undermine the integrity of the election and disrupt the democratic process.

In the past, Nigeria has experienced violence during elections, leading to loss of lives, property damage, and a general sense of insecurity. Such violence has not only affected the peaceful conduct of elections but also impeded the country’s progress toward democracy and sustainable development. It is, therefore, essential for every Nigerian to recognize their responsibility to act in the best interest of the country by shunning all forms of violence before, during, and after the election.

The Oodua Youth Coalition strongly believes that every Nigerian has the right to vote for the candidate of their choice without intimidation or fear of violence. We call on all political parties, candidates, and stakeholders to ensure that the election is free, fair, and transparent and that every citizen has the opportunity to exercise their right to vote.

As we approach election day, we implore all Nigerians to keep in mind that the ultimate goal of the election is to elect leaders who will work toward the betterment of the country. Therefore, we should focus on the issues at hand and the policies of the candidates instead of engaging in violent behavior.

Furthermore, we encourage everyone to report any suspicious activities capable of undermining the credibility of the electoral process to the appropriate authorities to ensure that the election is conducted in a safe and peaceful environment. Nigerians should also embrace the culture of peace and respect for one another’s rights and opinions, even in the face of provocation.

May Nigeria Succeed.

Signed;

Oluyi Tayo Akintade

President,

Oodua Youth Coalition.
