In a heartening display of justice prevailing, Josiah Moses, a budding football talent hailing from Nigeria, has been discharged and acquitted of rape charges after enduring three years behind bars. This landmark decision, made in Karu, Nasarawa State, not only brings relief to Moses and his loved ones but also raises important questions about the fairness of the justice system for indigent individuals.
Recall, that On Friday, the 14th of July, 2023 in the United Kingdom, a renowned super rich footballer, Benjamin Mendy was also found not guilty of attempted rape and rape.
In a Statement by his Legal Aid at Abuja, Barrister Kayode Ajulo (OON) expressed his Delight and Joy having secured the Release of the Accused Footballer , He said “It was a tumultuous journey for us at the Abuja office of Kayode Ajulo & Co. Castle of Law, where we extended our pro bono service to the accused, Josiah Moses for the past three years while the trial lasted.”
