The senator representing Ogun East, Gbenga Daniel, has advised Nigerians not to be disheartened by the country’s worsening economic situation.
He emphasized the need for understanding, noting that President Bola Tinubu inherited what he termed a failed economy.

Expressing optimism, Daniel said he could see light at the end of the tunnel.

During his visit to Ijebu Ode local government area, he attributed the current hardships to the economic challenges faced by President Tinubu’s predecessor.

The ex-governor of Ogun state revealed that Tinubu refrained from discussing this matter due to various reasons, but assured that efforts were underway tirelessly to address the nation’s challenges.

Daniel appealed to Nigerians for patience and collaboration with the present government in its endeavours to enhance the nation’s prosperity.

He acknowledged the prevailing hunger in the country and affirmed his commitment, alongside the current administration, to alleviate it.

He announced his initiative to distribute over 12,000 food packs monthly to the residents of the senatorial district.
The senator said: “Really, things might not be as good as we want them but I want to plead with you my people to show understanding because our President, Bola Ahmed Tinubu inherited what we can call a failed economy.

“But it is impossible for him to talk. With all the things that have happened before him, he cannot talk, all he is trying to do is to find the solution.

“I want to assure you that there is light at the end of the tunnel and our country will be better for it. The President needs our cooperation now more than ever before and I assure you that just very soon everything will be fine with us.”
