The Commissioner of Police in Ondo State, Abayomi P. Oladipo, has reiterated the stance of the command in stamping out crimes and criminality in the state.

Abayomi disclosed this in a statement issued by the Command’s spokesperson,
SP. Funmilayo Odunlami- Omisanya.

The statement also congratulated Muslim faithful in the state on the occasion of the Eid-el-Fitr celebration.

The statement read, “The Commissioner of Police, CP Abayomi P. Oladipo congratulates all Muslims faithfuls on the completion of Ramadan as he prays the Almighty Allah answer all their dua’s and accept it as an act of Ibadah.

“Ahead of the Eid prayers at various praying grounds, the CP has ordered personnel attached to the Explosives Ordinance Disposal and Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear Unit EOD-CBRN, popularly known as Anti-Bomb Squad to sweep all venues to be used for the Sallah celebration.

“In the same vein, DPOs and Tactical Teams in the State have been directed to ensure the festival takes a smooth passage without fear while encouraging Muslim faithfuls, friends and well-wishers to apply caution and moderation while enjoying the euphoria of the moment.

“The CP is also using this medium to warn those who may want to use the celebration period to commit crime to steer clear as the Command will not fold her arms and allow criminality thrive in the state.
