Following the successful conduct of All Progressive Congress primaries in Ondo state where the Incumbent Governor of Ondo State, Lucky Orimisan Ayedatiwa was announced as the winner of the contest that will fly the banner of our great party in the November Gubernatorial election, ASIWAJU MANDATE GROUP, a foremost social political group in Ondo state has Congratulated the Governor on his resounding victory and called on all other ASPIRANTS to accept the verdict of the election in the spirit of sportsmanship knowing fully well that it is a contest between brothers of same family and as such, the value and the Supremacy of the party must be a guiding light in times like this.

In a statement signed by the Director General of AMG, Evang. Olumuyiwa Asagunla and made available to newsmen in Akure, he expressed appreciation to members of the group accross the state for the understanding and decorum demonstrated during the process.Asagunla assured that the AMG will work with the winner to ensure overall victory of the Party in the general elections.

” While we condemn cases of violence as witnessed in some Local Governments during the primaries , We hope that our Democratic process will outgrow such skemishes in the nearest future.
We urge all aspirants that lost in the election not to leave the party or get involved in any anti party activities knowing very well that the room is large enough for all and there will always be another time to try.
We belief that members of Apc in Ondo state has spoken loud in the choice of the party’s flag bearer and we all should mend fences and embrace the winner in ensuring the victory of the party in the general election is overwhelming.

We also urge the winner to be magnanimous in victory by reaching out to those who contested with him, knowing too well that there is no victor or vanguished.
He should also deploy government largesse and and appointment to all APC members without biase.

We assure that as a group, we shall in the coming days step up on our aggressive mobilisation and expansion of our frontiers through membership drive across the wards and local governments in Ondo state with a view to generating goodwill for the party towards absolute victory in the forthcoming gubernatorial election.

May Ondo State Succeed!! the statement reads in part.
