The Speaker, Ondo State House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Olamide Oladiji, on Tuesday was honoured with the award of Distinguished Legislator of the year by the Correspondents Chapel of the Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ondo State council.
The event which took place at the Blissword Hotel Hall, Ijapo Estate Akure was witnessed by dignitaries from within and outside the State.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman, Correspondents Chapel, Mr. Tosin Ajuwon lauded the Speaker for his dedication and commitment to legislative activities in the hallowed chamber which among others earned him the well deserved honour.
While commending his exemplary leadership and unwavering commitment to the principles of diligence and humanity, Ajuwon said the award was also as a result of his compassion and steadfast dedication to the well _being of people around him.
The Chairman who described Oladiji as a grassroot politician with a heart of gold, prayed that God should continue to grant him joy, good health and success in his endeavours.
In his reaction, the Speaker expressed appreciation to the organizers of the event ,saying such would spur him to re-double his effort and contribution towards taking Ondo State to a greater height.
Oladiji in his happy mood, appreciated the Governor of Ondo State, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa for his various landmark achievements aimed at putting smiles on faces of individuals in the State.
