2024: Ese-Odo APC Leaders Rally Voters For Aiyedatiwa
Ahead of the November 16 gubernatorial election in Ondo state, the All Progressives Congress (APC) continues to strengthen its base in the Southern Senatorial District of the State with new defections.
On Sunday, during the APC Ese-Odo Local Government stakeholders’ meeting at Igbekebo, a number of prominent members of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) defected to the APC, pledging their support for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa.
During the event, Governor Aiyedatiwa welcomed the new members to the APC, emphasizing the importance of unity and collective effort in the upcoming election.
The Governor said: “This is a clear indication that our message of progress and development is resonating with the people. Together, we will continue to build on the foundation we have laid and take Ondo State to greater heights.”
Governor Aiyedatiwa reiterated his administration’s commitment to ensuring that the November 16 election will be free, fair, and peaceful, urging party members and supporters to remain vigilant and work tirelessly to secure victory at the polls.
The Governor also assured the audience that primary healthcare facilities would be established in all 203 wards across the state, reaffirming his dedication to advancing infrastructure development statewide.
Speaking at the event, a representative of the defectors, Williams Ojuala, expressed their collective confidence in the governor’s ability to continue delivering on his promises.
“We have witnessed the remarkable impact of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s administration in Ese Odo and throughout Ondo State. His dedication to community development and the well-being of our people has assured us that the APC is the best platform to realize our aspirations”, Ojuala said.
Earlier in his welcome address, the Commissioner for Lands and Housing, Akogun Akinwumi Sowore, described the defection of the PDP members as a major boost to APC’s campaign in Ese-Odo, a local government area seen as pivotal to the outcome of the gubernatorial election. He confidently assured the governor of a 100 percent victory in local government area.
In his remarks, Bayo Anifowose, Chairman of Ese-Odo Local Government Transition Committee, expressed his gratitude to the governor for his unwavering commitment to grassroots development and the well-being of the people.
Also, the Special Adviser to the Governor on Gender Affairs, Mrs. Olamide Falana, emphasized the pivotal role women in Ondo State will play in securing the governor’s victory. She urged the women to fully support the governor, highlighting his consistent inclusion of women in his administration.
