2024: Ondo West SDP bigwig, Ademoloye A-Z, dumps party, collapses structure for APC
A chieftain of the Social Democratic Party (SDP), and candidate of the party in the 2023, State House of Assembly Election; Honourable Azeez Ademoloye A-Z, officially decamps from his former party and collapses political structures in Ondo West Local Government to the All Progressives Congress APC, ahead of Governorship election in Ondo State.
Honourable Azeez Ademoloye (AZ), who moved into the APC with his teaming supporters last weekend, was openly received by leaders of the party in Ondo West Local Government, at the party Secretariat.
At this declaration ceremony, Hon Azeez Ademoloye announced that his decision to join the party and to collapse his structure for the APC is premised on his desire to complement the struggles of several like minds in the state, in ensuring a Lucky Sunshine State.
He announced that he is fully prepared, together with his team to massively mobilise support for Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, the party’s candidate and ensure that he comes out victorious at the forthcoming governorship poll in the state.
Ademoloye and his team were received on behalf of the state party chairman by the Ondo West Local Government party chairman, Hon Aro Benard, who welcomed them heartily into the All Progressives Congress APC; he assured them of the party’s support while he posed confidence in Ademoloye’s strength, being a big fish in his former party, and how significant his coming into the APC means to further assure a resounding victory for the party at the forthcoming gubernatorial election, he encouraged other decampees from the SDP to show a sense of responsibility to their new party (APC), through dedication and commitment.
Representing the Ondo state Governor at the open declaration ceremony was the Secretary to the State Government, Hon Temitayo Oluwatuyi (TUCANA); other members of the state cabinet who were present at the open declaration were; SSA to Ondo State Governor on Community engagement, Hon Fadairo Femi (FADA); SSA on Public Enlightenment, Comrade Olufemi Lawson; SA on interparty affairs, Barrister Fade Ojamomi, amongst many other entourage.
The Ondo West Local Government Party leaders present at the ceremony to receive new members are; Ondo East and West Federal House of Representatives Member, Hon Abiola Otaibayomi Makinde; Ondo State Commissioner for Woman Affairs, Hon (Mrs) Lola Fagbemi; Former Ondo West Local Government Chairman and Former member, Ondo state House of Assembly, Otunba Ade Adeniyi (Ade is Ok); Former OSOPADEC Commissioner, Hon. Kehinde Akinrotoye (Bonsue); Member Governing Council Board, Modibbo Adamawa University, Yola, Hon Thomas Babajide Apata, and many others.
Also at the ceremony was; Ondo Northwest LCDA transition Chairman, Honourable Onidare Sunday Bukunmi (OSB); Ondo South West Transition Committee Chairman, Hon Akinola Felix (OBAMA); amongst other local government party executives, ward Chairmen and Party Members, who were delighted to receive decampees from the SDP into the Progressives family.
