Ondo Commissioner hosts office of SSA Diaspora, unveils strategic plans for investment growth

The Commissioner for Regional Integration and Diaspora Relations, Prince Boye Ologbese, hosted a delegation from the office of the Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters.
Recall that the Ondo State Governor, Hon. Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa had appointed Mr. Oluyemi Fasipe, also known by the sobriquet: Yemiefash, as Senior Special Assistant on Diaspora Matters.
However, the visit is aimed at familiarizing with the ministry and its ongoing initiatives.
The visit was not only impactful in fostering stronger connections with the ministry but also an opportunity to review the achievements recorded during the previous administration of the late Governor Akeredolu, as well as the exciting plans under the current Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s led administration.
Prince Ologbese provided a comprehensive overview of the strides made by the ministry under Akeredolu’s leadership, highlighting the already established policies and programs in the works for the present administration.
These initiatives are set to build on past successes while further promoting Ondo State as a hub for investment.
One of the key areas discussed was the ministry’s efforts to harness the financial strength of Diaspora citizens.
The Commissioner emphasized the importance of developing policies that attract investment from the Diaspora, particularly through collaboration with the Ondo State Development and Investment Promotion Agency (ONDIPA).
He explained how the synergy between his ministry and ONDIPA is designed to drive sustainable investments into the state, unlocking new economic opportunities.
The delegation sent by Mr. Fasipe comprises: Tobi Akinnubi, Sarah Awonusi and Paul Itioluwa unanimously expressed satisfaction with the progress made and optimism about the positive impact of the ministry’s initiatives on the state’s economic growth.
The meeting was attended members of the by the Director of Diaspora Matters, Mrs. A.I. Komolafe, the Special Adviser to the Commissioner, Prince Osho Bamidele, and other key stakeholders.
