Lions Club Installs Akinola Falusi as 38th President of Akure-Owena

The Lions International will this Saturday 19th , October 2024 presents to the public, Lion Akinola Falusi as the 38th President of one of its foremost community clubs ; Akure-Owena Lion Club.

In a Press Statement, the Chairman Organising Committee, Lion Professor Ayokanmi Dada said the event bid to hold at Deja Vu Hotel & Suites Alagbaka, Akure will attract dignitaries across the country including Lion Leaders to be led by the District Governor of District 404A-4, Nigeria, Lion Prince Engr. Monday Osadembawen Okoro.

“We are glad that an accomplished bureaucrat, topflight politician and philanthropist who is the Deputy Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency
Dr. Olayide Owolabi Adelami, mni, will be the Speaker of the Day while a learned silk, Prince Bolarinwa Aidi, SAN will be the Chairman of the occasion.

“Also, some Nigerians who have consistently put-in their resources into the course of humanity will be appreciated at the occasion while the sum of #57m will be raised to fund various life-changing projects in aid of the underprivileged”, he said.

Lion Akinola Falusi who was a former LEO Club President will lead the doyen Lions Club in District 404A-4,Nigeria for the 2024/25 Lions Year.

“Some of our members and partners in government and in the private sector, using their privileged positions to make life worth living for others will be presented with awards”, the Chairman stated.

The District Governor is expected to commence the extension of Lionism to Akokoland by committing the formation of Ikare Lions Club into the hands of its first set of members.

Lions International is the largest service organisation in the world with a permanent seat in the United Nations and Akure-Owena Lions Club is one of its community clubs across the globe.
