Ondo Election: Adefisoye, Adetimehin Win For APC In Idanre Against All Odds
Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has won the 2024 governorship election in Idanre Local Government Area, the home town town of the deputy governorship candidate of the PDP.
It had earlier been rumoured that Idanre was a fortress and a stronghold of the Peoples Democratic Congress. Although the gubernatorial election was keenly contested in Idanre, but the APC candidate eventually scored 9114, to defeat PDP candidate that scored 8940.
Expressing joy on the victory of Governor Aiyedatiwa in Idanre, the Director General of the Aiyedatiwa Campaign Council in Idanre Hon.Tajudeen Adefisoye said that the victory was a well deserved one for Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa. He attributed the victory to the hard work of APC leaders in Idanre, and in addition to the acceptability of Governor Aiyedatiwa.
Adefisoye, who is better known as Small Alhaji added that the victory for Aiyedatiwa in Idanre was also attributable to the leadership of Engr. Ade Adetimehin, who is the APC Chairman in Ondo State. He was also full of praises for all APC leaders, members and supporters of the ruling party.
The highly elated Adefisoye, further said that he was appreciative of the good people of Idanre that voted for Governor Aiyedatiwa,; despite having their son as the deputy governorship candidate of the opposition PDP.
” I will like to thank all members of the APC in Idanre for their tireless efforts that eventually led to the victory of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s in Idanre. This victory bears testimony to the hard work of APC leaders and members in Idanre. It also confirms the acceptability of our great party, APC and Governor Aiyedatiwa in Idanre. We can all be rest assured that this particularly victory will open doors for more electoral victories for our party in Idanre in future election”.
“It is important for me to recognize and appreciate the good leadership provided for the APC across Ondo State, and Idanre in particular by Engr. Ade Adetimehin. Our party has returned Governor Aiyedatiwa to office for another four years under the leadership of our party chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin. I also want to thank other important APC leaders in Idanre, our members and support ers that worked together for this victory”.
Meanwhile, Hon Adefisoye has once again assured the people of Idanre that all the campaign promises of Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa would be fulfilled. He likewise assured the people of Idanre that he would ensure that the presence of Governor Aiyedatiwa’s government is well felt in Idanre.
“Our contract with the people of Idanre was for them to ensure the victory of Governor Aiyedatiwa in the town. Now that they have fulfilled their own part of this deal, it is naturally expected of us to fulfill our own part by delivering dividends of democracy to them. By the grace of God, Governor Aiyedatiwa will fulfill his campaign promises in Idanre.”, Adefisoye assured.
