A socio-political group, Yoruba Council Worldwide, has said that President Bola Tinubu’s led administration has appointed more youth into critical sectors than any other government in the country’s history.
In a statement made available to PUNCH Online on Saturday, the council’s National Publicity Secretary, Isaac Ajibola, said the President has appointed more youths into his government youths, from ministers to advisers and heads of government parastatals.
The statement reads, “President Bola Tinubu’s led administration has appointed more youth than any other government in the history of Nigeria into critical sectors of the state from Ministers to SSA, DGs of government parastatals to mention a few. This has dispersed the unfounded accusations that President Bola Tinubu neglected the youths while claiming the youths are not happy, which is not just a paid attempt to discredit the President and cause unnecessary political attrition.”
The council also reiterated its support for Tinubu’s led administration, saying that the government has shown deliberate attempts to better the lots of the youths.
It also applauded the Tinubu government for planning to organise the National Youth Conference in February 2025 and expressed support for the Minister for Youth Development, Ayodele Olawande.
It added, “We therefore unequivocally reiterate our support for President Bola Tinubu’s led administration while specifically appreciating the Hon. Minister for Youth Development Com. Ayodele Olawande’s various laudable initiatives and his commitment towards the convocation of the National Youth Conference in February 2025, profoundly this goes to shut down all phantom lies peddlers mongering and hatred.
