Nigerian music icon Innocent Idibia, widely known as 2Baba, has reunited with his mother, Mrs. Rosemary Idibia, amid ongoing rumors about his alleged marriage to Honourable Natasha Osawaru.
Mrs. Idibia recently made headlines after pleading publicly for help regarding her son’s personal situation.
In a viral video, she called on Nigerians to intervene, asking Natasha Osawaru to “release” 2Baba from what she described as a distressing situation.
“This message is for Miss Natasha Osawaru of Edo State. I’m calling on all mothers in Nigeria to help me beg her to free my son,” she said in the video.
Tensions heightened when the Idibia family, through their lawyer Wilson Anuge, filed a petition with the Department of State Services (DSS), reporting 2Baba missing. According to the petition dated February 7, 2025, the singer had not been seen since February 10 after leaving home in his loungewear for a walk.
However, a video that circulated on Sunday showed 2Baba and his mother smiling and posing for photos alongside close friends and associates.
Natasha Osawaru was also seen in the footage, appearing with a teenager before 2Baba, dressed in black sportswear, joined them.
2Baba recently confirmed his relationship with Osawaru, a member of the Edo State House of Assembly representing the Egor Constituency under the Peoples Democratic Party.
This announcement followed news of his separation from his wife, Annie Idibia, with whom he shares two daughters.
In an Instagram video, 2Baba openly declared his love for Osawaru, saying, “Yes, I love her. She’s amazing, she’s cool. I want to marry her.”
He also clarified that Osawaru played no part in the issues that led to his breakup with Annie.
On February 13, 2025, footage surfaced online showing 2Baba proposing to Osawaru in the presence of close friends.
Shortly after, Osawaru updated her Instagram bio to read “Honourable Natasha IDIBIA,” suggesting a formal union.
As of the time of this report, neither 2Baba nor Natasha Osawaru has made any additional official statements regarding their relationship or the earlier concerns raised by the family.
