Afrobeats star Tiwa Savage has stirred online discussions after sharing her candid thoughts on Nigerian men during a recent appearance on GRM Daily’s “Thoughts in a Culli”.
Known for her bold persona and hit songs, Savage didn’t hold back when asked about her views on Nigerian men.
While she praised their fashion sense and their tendency to show care through financial gestures, she pointed out a lack of genuine romantic effort.
“Nigerian men have swag, but they’re not really romantic when it comes to the core of it,” Savage remarked.
“They know how to dress well and spend money, but that’s not what I’m looking for.”
The Somebody’s Son singer explained that while Nigerian men can be generous, she is seeking deeper emotional qualities in a partner, emphasizing that material displays of affection do not necessarily translate into meaningful emotional connections.
